VP Student Life: Evelyn Hein

Hi Acadia!

My name is Evelyn Hein and I’m a second-year politics student. I currently live in Eaton/Christofor and I am the Vice President on EC’s House Council. Over my two years here at Acadia, I’ve been active on campus through planning events for EC, last year as First Year Representative, and this year as VP as well as working at Cajun’s, the clothing store run by the ASU, for the past academic year so I am very familiar with the clothing order process for clubs, Internal Organizations, and House Councils, as well as I have gotten to learn about the inner workings of the ASU.

My vision for VP Student Life is to make campus as a whole more accessible. While discussion on-campus has been centered around making the SUB more accessible, that is not the only issue. My goal is to make Welcome Week and Frost week more accessible to all students, as well as the ASU as a whole. I will do this through inclusive programming, and by facilitating positive student experiences both on and off-campus, to reach all the student body. I will work hard to facilitate collaboration between Residence Life and House Councils, IOs, and clubs to better the student experience on all fronts.

I’m super excited for the opportunity to work for the students, to better our experiences as a whole, and I can’t wait to see what next year brings, should you decide to vote Evelyn for VP Student Life!
