Pure & Applied Science Senator: Jordi Chaffer

In combining my science background with my experience as a leader in my community, if elected as Pure and Applied Science Senator, I will fairly represent and provide meaningful opportunities to all students in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science. In doing so, I will utilize my leadership skills I have developed as a student-athlete, a TA in the Physics Department, President of the Anamnesis Alzheimer’s Society, President-Elect of the Acadia International Society, and as an active volunteer in my community through my involvement in the S.M.I.L.E, Kinderskills, Biology Mentorship, and Psychology Mentorship Programs.

My goal is to facilitate a project that will enable science students to improve their communications skills and career potential by becoming active leaders in their community through engaging in community outreach events that promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to youth in the Wolfville area.
