As Acadia students prepare to see the third strike in 5 rounds of contract negotiations I’d like to take the time to remind you that this is for the good of the school. Acadia is so committed to the Maple League ideal of small schools where you are “a name not a number” that they have planned to strike every three years to prevent enrollment from rising to that of a large (or even worse a profit-generating) school. Acadia would like to announce in addition to our plans of throwing disorder into the faces of students right before exams, the board and union of faculty have together agreed to change the school’s unofficial motto from just “2+2=5″ by adding a small phrase. The new motto is “2+2=5, let’s make enrollment take a dive”
(Again, obviously satire.)
